Growth in the Garden

Checked on the Tower Garden this morning. The strawberries are starting to show and the family is eager to have some.

The kale is show growth too, know that will be good to add to my Complete shakes.

The cherry tomatoes and lettuce are also going to be great for quick fresh salads to add to the dinner.

Finished planting our traditional today, took us about four hours.

We covered the fence with some wirer. Hope that keeps the rabbits out.

Just finished planting them in the Tower Garden, it took about 3 to five minutes to wash the dirt off of the plants. Need to be gentle while washing it off. I soaked the rock wool for 30 minutes before using for planting (dry rock wool seen in photo).

Next, I separated the rock wool into individual cubes. Then cut it in half. After the dirt was removed the plant was placed into the rock wool and a rubber band was sued to hold it together. Then the plant was placed into a net pod in the Tower Garden. The fully planted Tower Garden seen below from two different viewpoints.

Here is a photo of the plants that are being planted.

My wife Melissa had a great idea, I am going to plant the same plants in my Tower Garden as I can in my garden in the back yard. Below are the starting point view of the gardens. The Tower Garden took about 30 minutes to clean and the backyard garden two about two hours two pull weeds and turn the soil. I still need to add some fertilizer to the dirt.

Yesterday I started on my Tower Garden. I'm getting a late start this year so I am going to visit my local nursery to get some plants.
